The Housing Authority of The City of Goldsboro (HACG) regularly has contract opportunities for contractors, vendors, and service providers.  The invitation for bids is most often done through a request for proposals (RFP).  These requests will be published on this website and will include a deadline for bid submittal.

CURRENT QUOTES/BIDS 

Sealed proposals will be received by the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF GOLDSBORO (HACG) at 700 N. Jefferson Ave. in Goldsboro, NC until 3:00pm, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 for Professional Moving Services including packing and moving resident belongings from public housing units in Goldsboro, NC to a new local address.

Specifications will be open for inspection in the office of the HOUSING AUTHORITY or may be obtained by those qualified and who will make an offer by calling Keith Curtis at (919) 735-4226, Ext. 1118 or by email at kcurtis@hacg.org. Bid packets can be emailed at your request.

The agency reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. Small, Minority and Women-Owned Businesses are encouraged to bid. The HACG complies with Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968.

Sealed proposals will be received by the GOLDSBORO HOUSING AUTHORITY for CAPITAL FUND PROJECT #6041B until 3:00 PM, TUESDAY, MAY 28, 2024, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the Modernization of Project NC 15-1/15-3.

Scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Major / Comprehensive Rehab of Sixty (60) apartments.
  • Accessibility Improvements. 
  • All other work in Project Manual, on Drawings and as required by codes.

A Pre-Bid Conference has been scheduled for WEDNESDAY, MAY 8, 2024 AT 10:00 AM. Meeting will be held at the office of the Goldsboro Housing Authority, located at 700 North Jefferson Avenue, Goldsboro,
North Carolina. Following the meeting, Contractors will have the opportunity to visit the Project Site(s).

Contractors may visit at other times by contacting Keith Curtis at kcurtis@hacg.org or (919) 735.4226, Ext.1118. Additional site visits may take place, with advance notice (72 hours recommended):

  • May 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades, whether or not Federal Funding is involved.

Contractors will be responsible to ensure that economic opportunities, to the greatest extent feasible follow Section 3 Requirements 24 CFR Part 135.1 and Section 3 Clause 24 CFR Part 135.38. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
